THE INCEPTION

For quite some time I have been thinking of writing about my experiences to convey what I have learnt over the last three decades of my career. I have worked for 22 years in various capacities in the corporate world, from junior level to the top management level and for the last 10 years as a Consultant, Advisor and Corporate Trainer to various organizations – both Indian and MNCs. My areas of exposure have been, to start with, Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Change Management both at the Operational level as well as at the Corporate level, but eventually have broadened to include Operations Management, Total Quality Management, Strategic Planning, Sales & Marketing, Project Management, Merger & Acquisitions etc.

Today, writing through your own blog, in order to speedily connect with professionals, locally and globally, is possible due to availability and accessibility of technology. It is through this platform that I wish to share the abundance of knowledge and experiences which I have gathered and assimilated over the years.

I have always had the urge to be competent and versatile in every task or job assigned to me. I have strived to work on new ideas, gain new experiences and conduct research and this has always given me a sense of fulfilment. This has motivated me to share my learning and experiences with professionals and delve into the deeper meaning of all that I have learnt and achieved. Today many people tend to rely on textbook knowledge. But knowledge gained from one’s own experiences, successes and failures, is always the better teacher.

My journey across the entire gamut of general management has been very enriching.  I have learnt and I continue to learn many new aspects of running a successful business and along with it a successful life.

I am sure the readers of my blog will gain knowledge about the vast field of management through my blogs. Even if I manage to enrich a few minds by sharing my learning and experiences through my blog, I will consider my attempt a success.

I would look forward to a continuous feedback from the readers of my blog for mutual benefit.

So here’s to the beginning of an experience of continuous learning and sharing!
